In the Page Builder you add a section and choose a dynamic layout such as a grid, list, or card view. You then connect that section to a data source, typically a Zoho CRM module, a Zoho Creator application, or a dataset you define in Zoho Sites itself. Field mappings let you control which data fields appear in which visual positions on the card or list item. When records in the source are added, updated, or removed, the published page reflects those changes on the next visitor load.
Dynamic Content is most valuable when information changes frequently and editing pages manually every time would be time-consuming. A real estate agency listing properties, an e-commerce site displaying product inventory, or a training company listing upcoming course dates are all good candidates. It is also useful for team directories where staff details are already maintained in a CRM or HR system.
Dynamic Content requires a paid Zoho Sites plan and the data source must be within the Zoho ecosystem for the native integration to work without additional connectors. Complex filtering and sorting options are available but require careful setup to avoid showing incomplete or unintended records. Test the live page after the initial configuration to confirm that only the correct records appear to visitors.
A Pune-based manufacturer of industrial equipment used Dynamic Content to build a product catalogue page connected to their Zoho CRM Products module. Every time the sales team updated a product price or added a new model in CRM, the website catalogue updated automatically. This eliminated a fortnightly manual update task that had previously taken the marketing coordinator nearly two hours per session.
Not natively. Dynamic Content in Zoho Sites is designed for Zoho data sources. To pull from external sources, you would first sync that data into a Zoho Creator app or Zoho CRM module, and then connect the Zoho Sites dynamic section to that intermediate source.
Dynamic sections load the latest data from the source each time a visitor loads the page. There is no manual refresh needed; changes in the connected Zoho module appear to new visitors immediately after the record is saved.
