A Sandbox in Zoho CRM is an isolated copy of the CRM environment used for testing configurations, customisations, and automations before deploying them to the live production CRM. Changes made in the Sandbox do not affect production data until they are explicitly deployed.

What Can Be Tested in Sandbox

The Sandbox supports testing of: Blueprints, Workflow Rules, Custom Functions, Page Layouts, modules, fields, and Approval Processes. Configurations tested in Sandbox can be deployed to production via the deployment wizard, which shows a diff of all changes being pushed.

Sandbox Data

The Sandbox contains a copy of the production configuration but uses sample or test data rather than live customer records. This means you can test an automation that sends emails or updates records without affecting real customer data or triggering actual email sends to clients.
