How Registration Works in Zoho Meeting

When you create a webinar in Zoho Meeting with registration enabled, a registration page is generated with a unique URL. Prospective attendees visit this page, fill in their details (name and email are standard; you can add custom questions), and receive a personalised join link by email. The host sees the registrant list in the webinar dashboard and can send reminder emails before the event. Registration data is available as a downloadable report after the event.

When to Use Registration

Enable Registration for any public or semi-public webinar where knowing your audience in advance matters: lead generation events, paid sessions, or compliance-driven training with mandatory attendance tracking. Registration is less useful for internal all-hands webinars where all attendees are already known. For public webinars, keep the form short (name and email only) unless additional qualification questions are genuinely needed, as every extra field reduces completions.

Key Considerations for Registration

Each registrant receives a unique join link; sharing that link with others allows unregistered people to join, which may or may not be acceptable depending on your event type. If you need strict access control, you can enable registration approval (manual or automatic). Custom registration questions are available but the number of custom fields may be limited by your plan. Registrant data should be exported promptly after the event as cloud retention periods vary.
