Question Bank

A repository of reusable assessment questions in Zoho Learn that can be drawn on by multiple quizzes across different courses.

What is a Question Bank in Zoho Learn?

A question bank is a centralised library of assessment questions in Zoho Learn. Instead of creating questions directly in each quiz, authors add questions to the bank and then pull from it when building assessments. This enables question reuse and randomisation across quizzes.

Benefits of Using a Question Bank

Question banks save authoring time when the same topics appear in multiple courses. Randomisation from a large question pool reduces the risk of learners sharing answers, improving assessment integrity.

Organising Question Banks

Questions in the bank can be tagged by topic, difficulty level, or course association. When configuring a quiz, authors specify how many questions to pull from each tag or category, building a randomised assessment automatically.

Can questions from the bank be edited after being added to a quiz?

Yes. Editing a question in the bank updates it wherever it is used. If you need a variation of a question for a specific quiz, duplicate it in the bank before editing.

Is the question bank shared across all courses?

The question bank is portal-wide, so questions added by any author are accessible to all admins and instructors. Access can be scoped by tagging questions by course or department.
