Zoho Learn

Module (Learn)

A subdivision within a Zoho Learn course that groups related chapters and lessons under a single theme or topic area.

What is a Module in Zoho Learn?

A module is the second level of the Zoho Learn content hierarchy, sitting between a course and its individual chapters or lessons. Modules group related lessons under a common theme, making large courses easier to navigate.

Module Structure

A course can contain multiple modules, and each module holds one or more chapters or lessons. For example, a Sales Onboarding course might have modules for Product Knowledge, CRM Usage, and Objection Handling.

Progress Tracking by Module

Zoho Learn tracks learner progress at the module level, showing how much of each module is complete. This granular view helps managers spot where learners are getting stuck.

Can modules be reordered?

Yes. Admins can drag and drop modules within a course to change the order in which learners encounter them, without deleting or recreating content.

Are modules mandatory before proceeding to the next one?

By default, learners can navigate freely between modules. Admins can enable sequential learning to force completion of each module before unlocking the next.
