Enrolment

The process of adding a learner to a course in Zoho Learn, either by admin invitation, self-registration, or automatic assignment via Zoho People integration.

What is Enrolment in Zoho Learn?

Enrolment is the act of registering a learner into a course, granting them access to course content. Without enrolment, a learner cannot see or start a course. Enrolment can happen in several ways depending on how the course is configured.

Enrolment Methods

Admins can enrol learners manually one by one or via CSV import. Courses set to open enrolment allow learners to self-register from the catalogue. Approval-based courses require an admin to approve enrolment requests. Zoho Learn’s integration with Zoho People enables automatic enrolment based on department, designation, or custom rules triggered by onboarding events.

Bulk Enrolment

For organisation-wide training such as compliance or onboarding programmes, admins use bulk enrolment to add entire departments or groups at once. Enrolled learners receive an email notification with a link to start the course.

Can learners unenrol from a course?

This depends on portal settings. Admins can allow or prevent self-unenrolment. If unenrolment is disabled, only an admin can remove a learner from a course, preserving the training record.

Does enrolment data sync with Zoho People?

Yes. When the Zoho Learn and Zoho People integration is active, enrolment events, completion status, and certificate data can be reflected in the employee’s training record in Zoho People.
