Zoho Flow

Webhook Trigger

A trigger in Zoho Flow that activates a workflow when an external application sends an HTTP POST request to a unique Zoho Flow endpoint URL.

What Is a Webhook Trigger in Zoho Flow?

A Webhook Trigger in Zoho Flow assigns a unique URL to the flow. When any external system sends an HTTP POST request to that URL, the flow is triggered with the request body data. This allows any application capable of sending webhooks to initiate a Zoho Flow automation.

Use Cases

A payment gateway notifies Zoho Flow when a payment is completed, triggering CRM deal updates and invoice creation. A GitHub repository event (pull request merged) triggers a Zoho Projects task update. A custom web application sends a form submission via webhook to trigger a Zoho Campaigns lead addition.

Security

Webhook trigger URLs should be treated as secrets — anyone with the URL can trigger the flow. Configure payload validation (secret token verification) in Zoho Flow to ensure only authorised sources can activate the webhook. Rotate webhook URLs if you suspect unauthorised access.
