The visitor timeline in Zoho SalesIQ is a chronological log of every page a visitor has viewed on your website, across all their sessions, along with any chat interactions they have had. It gives operators complete context about a visitor’s journey before initiating or joining a chat.
For each session, the timeline shows the date and time of the visit, pages viewed, time spent on each page, referral source, and any chats or form submissions during that session. For known visitors (identified via email or CRM sync), the timeline can span months of history.
A visitor who has reviewed the pricing page four times, downloaded a case study, and now returned to the demo request page is showing strong buying intent. The visitor timeline surfaces this journey, enabling operators to have an informed, contextualised conversation rather than starting from scratch.
The Visitor Timeline captures every page the visitor viewed and the time spent on each, any chats or calls initiated, proactive triggers that fired, custom events tracked by the website code, email opens if email tracking is connected, and any CRM actions linked to the visitor’s email. It is a chronological history of all tracked interactions.
During a live chat, the agent panel shows the visitor’s timeline alongside the conversation. The agent can see which pages the visitor has already viewed before chatting, preventing them from suggesting pages the visitor has already read. If the visitor browsed the pricing page but did not convert, the agent can address pricing questions proactively rather than waiting for the visitor to raise them.
