Zoho Inventory

Stock Transfer

The movement of inventory between warehouses in Zoho Inventory, recorded as a transfer order to maintain accurate stock levels at each location.

What Is a Stock Transfer?

A stock transfer in Zoho Inventory moves items from one warehouse to another. It is recorded using a Transfer Order, which creates a paper trail showing which items moved, in what quantity, from which source warehouse, and to which destination warehouse.

Transfer Order Workflow

You create a Transfer Order specifying the source warehouse, destination warehouse, and items with quantities. The stock is decremented from the source immediately or upon dispatch (depending on settings) and incremented at the destination upon receipt confirmation.

Use Cases

Common uses include balancing stock between regional warehouses, moving items from a holding warehouse to a distribution centre, or replenishing a retail location from a central store.
