Send Time Optimisation

A Zoho Campaigns feature that analyses each subscriber's past engagement patterns to determine and automatically schedule the best time to send them an email.

What Is Send Time Optimisation?

Send Time Optimisation (STO) in Zoho Campaigns uses historical engagement data — specifically when individual subscribers have previously opened emails — to determine the optimal send time for each person. Instead of sending the campaign to everyone at the same time, Zoho Campaigns delivers each email when that specific subscriber is most likely to open it.

How It Works

Zoho Campaigns analyses each subscriber’s past open times over your campaign history. It identifies the time windows when each person most frequently opens emails and schedules delivery accordingly. The campaign may be delivered over a 24-hour window rather than all at once.

When to Use STO

STO is most effective for general newsletters and nurture emails where engagement rate is the primary goal. For time-sensitive announcements (flash sales, event reminders), use a fixed send time so all subscribers receive the message before the event.
