Scheduler Trigger

A time-based trigger in Zoho Flow that activates a workflow at defined recurring intervals or at a specific scheduled time.

What Is a Scheduler Trigger in Zoho Flow?

A Scheduler Trigger in Zoho Flow activates a workflow automatically at a set time or on a recurring schedule — every hour, daily at 9am, every Monday, or on the first day of each month. Unlike event-based triggers, scheduler triggers do not wait for an external event — they run purely on time.

Common Scheduler Uses

Daily: pull yesterday’s CRM activities and email a summary to the sales manager. Weekly: check for overdue invoices in Zoho Books and send a reminder email to customers. Monthly: generate a stock level report from Zoho Inventory and post it to a Slack channel. Hourly: sync contacts between two systems to catch any that were missed by event-based syncs.

Scheduler vs Cron

Scheduler Triggers provide a no-code interface for what developers would traditionally implement as cron jobs. The visual configuration, error notifications, and execution logs in Zoho Flow make scheduled automations easier to manage and debug than custom server-side cron jobs.
