A Sandbox in Zoho Creator is a staging copy of your application where developers and testers can make changes, test new features, and validate updates without affecting the production application that live users depend on. Changes in the sandbox are isolated until explicitly promoted to production.
Build new features or bug fixes in the Sandbox. Test thoroughly with sample data. When satisfied, promote the changes to production using Zoho Creator’s version management tools. This workflow prevents untested changes from disrupting users and provides a safety net for reversing changes if issues arise post-deployment.
The Sandbox has its own separate database — production data does not automatically copy to sandbox. This protects sensitive production data while providing a realistic environment for testing. Import sample or anonymised data into the sandbox for testing purposes rather than using live customer data.
