The SalesIQ embed code is a small JavaScript snippet generated in your Zoho SalesIQ account settings. Adding this code to every page of your website (typically in the header or footer) activates visitor tracking, displays the live chat widget, and enables proactive triggers and bots for that site.
Place the embed code just before the closing
tag on every page. For websites using tag managers (Google Tag Manager), add the code as a Custom HTML tag with an All Pages trigger. For WordPress sites, a plugin or the theme’s functions.php file can inject the code across all pages automatically.
Each website or subdomain requires its own embed code from Zoho SalesIQ. You can create multiple websites under one SalesIQ account, each with separate configurations for operator routing, bot behaviour, widget appearance, and proactive triggers tailored to that specific site’s audience and purpose.
The Embed Code should be placed just before the closing tag of each page where the chat widget should appear. Placing it at the bottom of the body ensures it loads after the main page content, preventing any impact on page load performance. For sites using a CMS like WordPress, the code is typically added to the theme’s footer.php or through a tag manager.
Each website in SalesIQ has its own widget with its own Embed Code. If you manage multiple websites from one SalesIQ account, you create a separate website entry for each domain and copy the respective code to each site. This keeps tracking, routing, and reporting separate per site while using a single SalesIQ account.
