Publish App

Publishing an App in Zoho Creator makes the application live and accessible to invited users, committing the current version as the active production build.

What Does Publish App Mean in Zoho Creator?

Publishing an application in Zoho Creator is the step that moves the application from draft or development state to a live, user-accessible state. After building and testing the application in the Creator Studio, the builder clicks Publish to make the current configuration the active version. Invited users can then access the application through its portal URL or through the Zoho Creator mobile app.

Draft vs Published State

Creator maintains a separation between the draft version (what the builder sees in Studio) and the published version (what portal users access). Changes made in the Studio do not reach portal users until the app is republished. This staging model prevents unfinished changes from disrupting users who are actively using the production application.

Re-Publishing After Changes

Any time the builder modifies forms, workflows, reports, or pages, those changes are saved to the draft. To deploy the changes to users, the builder must republish the app. Creator provides a summary of what changed between the current draft and the last published version before confirming the publish, helping builders review their changes before they go live.
