The Organisation Chart in Zoho People is an automatically generated visual representation of the company's reporting hierarchy, built from the Reporting Manager field on each employee record. It makes the organisational structure immediately visible without maintaining a separate diagram.
The Organisation Chart (org chart) in Zoho People visualises who reports to whom across the entire organisation. It is automatically built from the Reporting Manager field on each employee record — when you set a reporting manager for an employee, they are placed in the correct position in the hierarchy without any manual diagram work.
Employees and managers can browse the org chart to understand team structures, find colleagues, identify decision-makers, and understand cross-functional reporting lines. Clicking on an employee node shows their name, designation, department, and contact details.
Because the org chart is generated from live employee data, it updates automatically when reporting relationships change — when a manager is promoted, a team is reorganised, or an employee joins or leaves. There is no need to manually update a static diagram.
You can control who can view the full organisation chart. Some organisations restrict the view to direct team hierarchies, while others make the full company structure visible to all employees.
