Notifications in Zoho People are automated system alerts sent to employees, managers, and HR via email, in-app notifications, or push alerts when HR events occur — such as leave approvals, appraisal due dates, document expiry, or probation period endings.

What are Notifications in Zoho People?

Zoho People sends automated notifications at key points in every HR workflow, ensuring that the right people are informed at the right time without HR manually chasing each party. Notifications can be delivered by email, as in-app alerts within the Zoho People portal, or as push notifications on the mobile app.

Common notification triggers

  • Leave request submitted: Notifies the approver that action is needed.
  • Leave approved or rejected: Notifies the employee of the outcome.
  • Attendance regularisation request: Notifies the manager.
  • Appraisal cycle opened: Notifies employees to begin goal setting.
  • Self-appraisal due: Reminder to employees with an upcoming deadline.
