The Zoho SalesIQ Mobile SDK is a development toolkit for iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) that allows you to embed live chat, in-app messaging, and visitor tracking directly inside your native mobile application. Users can chat with support or sales without leaving the app.
The mobile SDK supports all core SalesIQ features: live chat with operators, bot conversations, proactive in-app messages triggered by user actions within the app, chat transcripts, and visitor identification (linking app users to CRM contacts by email). Push notifications alert users to operator replies even when the app is in the background.
Add the SalesIQ SDK to your app via CocoaPods (iOS) or Gradle (Android), initialise it with your app key and access token, and optionally identify users by passing their email address when they log in. A developer with mobile development experience can typically implement basic chat in a few hours.
The Zoho SalesIQ Mobile SDK supports iOS (Swift and Objective-C) and Android (Java and Kotlin). Both SDKs provide the same core capabilities: embedding the chat widget in the app, identifying logged-in users, tracking custom events, and triggering proactive messages. React Native and Flutter wrappers are also available for cross-platform apps.
After the user logs in to the app, call the SalesIQ SDK’s setVisitorName, setVisitorEmail, and setVisitorContactNumber methods with the user’s details. This identifies the visitor in SalesIQ, allowing chat history to persist across sessions and CRM push to match the visitor against existing contact records.
