Zoho Projects includes a built-in bug tracker (also called Issues) that allows teams to log, classify, assign, and track defects, bugs, and improvement requests. Unlike tasks (which represent planned work), issues represent problems discovered during or after development that need to be fixed.
Each issue captures: title, description, severity (Critical, Major, Minor, Cosmetic), priority, reproducibility, affected milestone, assignee, due date, and status. Custom fields can be added to capture product-specific information like browser version or environment.
Tasks are planned upfront. Issues emerge reactively. In practice, the boundary can blur: a bug fix task may be created in response to an issue. Zoho Projects keeps them in separate modules to maintain clarity between planned and reactive work.
