Home Glossary Zoho Flow HTTP Request Action
Zoho Flow

HTTP Request Action

A Zoho Flow action that sends an HTTP request (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE) to any external API endpoint, enabling integration with apps that do not have a native Zoho Flow connector.

What Is HTTP Request Action in Zoho Flow?

The HTTP Request Action in Zoho Flow allows you to call any external REST API endpoint, even for applications that do not have a dedicated Zoho Flow connector. You configure the HTTP method (GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE), URL, headers, and request body, and map the response data for use in subsequent flow steps.

When to Use It

Use HTTP Request when you need to integrate with a niche application that does not have a native Zoho Flow connector, when you need to call a custom internal API, or when a connector’s built-in actions do not expose the specific API endpoint you require. It is the integration equivalent of raw API access.

Authentication

Configure authentication in the request headers: pass API keys, Bearer tokens, or Basic Auth credentials. Store sensitive credentials in Zoho Flow’s Connection settings rather than hardcoding them in the action configuration, so they can be managed centrally and rotated without editing individual flows.
