Google Sheets Action

A Zoho Flow action that creates, updates, or reads rows in a Google Sheets spreadsheet, enabling lightweight data storage and reporting workflows.

What Is Google Sheets Action in Zoho Flow?

The Google Sheets Action in Zoho Flow allows automation workflows to read from or write to Google Sheets spreadsheets. Common operations include adding a new row (logging a triggered event), updating an existing row (marking a record as processed), and searching for a row by value (looking up data to use in subsequent actions).

Use Cases

Log every new CRM lead to a Google Sheet for management review. Update a tracking sheet when a Zoho Sign document is completed. Search a product price sheet in Google Sheets to look up pricing for an order being processed. Post daily sales summary data from Zoho Books to a management dashboard spreadsheet.

Limitations

Google Sheets is a practical tool for lightweight reporting and data logging via Zoho Flow, but it is not a substitute for a proper database or reporting system for high-volume data. Sheets with tens of thousands of rows and multiple simultaneous writes can become unreliable. For serious analytics, use Zoho Analytics as the data destination.
