The Gantt View is a timeline interface in Zoho FSM’s Dispatch Console that shows each field agent as a horizontal row and their scheduled appointments as coloured blocks along the time axis. Dispatchers can see the entire day’s schedule across all agents at a glance, identify gaps and overlaps, and drag appointments to reschedule them by moving the block to a different agent row or time position.
Unscheduled Work Orders appear in a panel alongside the Gantt View. Dispatchers drag an unscheduled job from this panel onto an agent’s row at the desired time. FSM validates the assignment against the agent’s skills, territory, and availability before confirming the placement. Colour coding indicates appointment status (scheduled, in progress, completed, at risk of SLA breach) for instant visual status monitoring.
The Gantt View is optimised for time-based schedule management: seeing how a day is filled and moving appointments between time slots. The Map View is optimised for geographic management: seeing where agents are located relative to pending jobs and understanding travel routing. Experienced dispatchers use both views in combination, switching between them depending on whether they are solving a time problem or a routing problem.
The Gantt View can display schedules across multiple days and weeks, not just the current day. Dispatchers can navigate forward to plan future appointments, check upcoming capacity, and identify dates where agent availability is constrained. This is particularly useful for planning preventive maintenance schedules that are arranged weeks in advance.
Yes. When travel time estimation is enabled, FSM displays travel time as a shaded block between consecutive appointments on the Gantt View. This prevents dispatchers from booking appointments back-to-back without accounting for transit, which is one of the most common causes of agents running late. The travel time estimate uses the stored addresses of the job locations.
