A Form in Zoho Creator is the primary data input mechanism. It defines the fields (columns) that make up a database table and presents them as a user-friendly entry screen. When a user fills in and submits a form, the data is stored as a record in the application’s database. Forms in Zoho Creator are equivalent to both the database table definition and the data entry interface simultaneously.
Zoho Creator forms support a wide range of field types: single-line text, multi-line text, number, date, date/time, email, phone, URL, dropdown, radio button, checkbox, file upload, image, signature, lookup (to other forms), subform (nested records), and formula (calculated) fields.
Forms are for input (adding and editing records). Reports are for output (viewing, filtering, and analysing records). Every form in Zoho Creator automatically generates a default report for viewing its data, though you can build custom reports with specific layouts and filters.
