Favourites in Zoho WorkDrive is a personal shortcut feature that lets each user mark specific files or folders as favourites for fast access. Marked items appear in a dedicated Favourites section in the left navigation, allowing users to reach frequently used documents without navigating through the full folder hierarchy each time.
Users can mark any file or folder as a favourite by right-clicking the item and selecting the Favourite option, or by clicking the star icon on the file card. Favourites are personal and are not visible to other team members, so each user maintains their own customised quick-access list without affecting how the shared folder structure appears for others.
Files shared with you by others appear in the Shared with Me view, while Favourites is a curated personal list the user builds themselves. You can add any file or folder you have access to, whether it is in a Team Folder, the Organisation Library, or shared externally, to your Favourites, giving you a single shortcut view regardless of where the file is stored.
Zoho WorkDrive’s Favourites section displays all starred items in a flat list, sorted by when they were added or by name. You cannot create nested categories within Favourites. To organise a large number of frequently used files, consider using the starred folder shortcut alongside descriptive subfolder structures in your Team Folders.
No. Adding a file to Favourites only creates a personal shortcut to the file. The original file remains in its folder, and the Favourite link updates automatically if the file is moved or renamed. Removing a file from Favourites does not delete or unshare it.
