The Dispatch Console is the primary working interface for dispatchers in Zoho FSM. It brings together the Gantt View, the real-time map of field agents, the list of unscheduled Work Orders, and SLA status alerts into one integrated screen. Dispatchers use it to manage the full lifecycle of daily scheduling: assigning new jobs, handling rescheduling requests, monitoring agent progress, and responding to emergencies.
The console typically has three panes: the unscheduled jobs panel showing all Work Orders awaiting assignment, the Gantt or calendar view showing agent schedules, and the map showing agent locations and job sites. Filters allow the dispatcher to narrow the view by territory, date, Work Order Type, or SLA priority. Alert banners highlight jobs approaching their SLA deadline or agents who are running significantly behind schedule.
The Dispatch Console updates in real time as field agents interact with the mobile app. When an agent checks in at a job site, their appointment block changes colour. When they mark a job complete, it clears from their schedule. When they raise a parts request or flag a problem, a notification appears in the dispatcher’s console. This live feedback loop allows dispatchers to make dynamic scheduling decisions based on what is actually happening in the field.
Yes. Multiple dispatchers can work in the Dispatch Console simultaneously, each managing their assigned territory or team. FSM uses real-time sync so that when one dispatcher assigns a job, the change is immediately visible to all other dispatchers. Role-based access can restrict each dispatcher to only their territory’s work queue and agent calendar.
Emergency jobs appear immediately in the unscheduled queue with a high-priority flag. The dispatcher can use the map view to find the nearest available qualified agent, check the Gantt to see if rescheduling a lower-priority appointment frees up capacity, and assign the emergency job within minutes. FSM can also trigger automatic notifications to the selected agent without waiting for manual confirmation.
