What Is Delivery Confirmation?

Delivery confirmation in Zoho Inventory is the process of updating a shipment record to Delivered status after the customer physically receives the goods. This can be done manually by the operations team or automatically via shipping carrier tracking integration.

Why It Matters

Marking shipments as delivered closes the fulfilment loop in Zoho Inventory and triggers downstream actions such as invoice finalisation and revenue recognition in Zoho Books. Unconfirmed deliveries leave sales orders in an open state and inflate pending shipment reports.
