Dashboard (Creator)

A Dashboard in Zoho Creator is a composite Page that brings together multiple reports and widgets to give users a real-time overview of application data.

What Is a Dashboard in Zoho Creator?

A Dashboard is a Page configured specifically to display key metrics, charts, and summary data in one view. Rather than navigating to individual reports, users open the Dashboard to see a consolidated snapshot of application health or performance. Dashboards in Creator are built using the same drag-and-drop Page editor but are focused on data visibility rather than data entry or management.

Building a Creator Dashboard

Builders place Chart Report widgets, Summary Report widgets, and KPI metric components onto a Page and arrange them in a grid. Each component can be independently filtered, so a sales manager’s dashboard might show their team’s figures while a director sees company-wide totals. Conditional display rules allow the same Page to adapt based on the logged-in user’s role.

Dashboard vs Analytics Integration

Creator Dashboards are appropriate for operational views tied to the Creator application’s own data. For cross-application analytics that pull data from CRM, Books, Projects, and other Zoho products simultaneously, Zoho Analytics is the better tool. Many organisations use Creator Dashboards for real-time operational status and Zoho Analytics for historical and cross-functional reporting.
