Connected Profile

A social media account or page linked to a Brand in Zoho Social, through which posts are published and analytics are collected.

What Is a Connected Profile?

A Connected Profile in Zoho Social is a social media account or page that has been authenticated and linked to a Brand. Once connected, Zoho Social can publish posts to that profile, collect engagement analytics from it, and monitor its mentions and comments. Connected Profiles are the fundamental building blocks of a Zoho Social Brand, as all publishing and reporting actions are performed through them.

Connecting a Profile

To connect a profile, you authenticate with the relevant social network’s account (for example, logging in with your Facebook credentials to connect a Facebook Page). The connection grants Zoho Social the permissions needed to publish posts, read analytics, and manage comments on your behalf. Each social platform has its own authentication and permission grant process, and Zoho Social guides you through each one.

Profile Connection Health

Social platform authentication tokens expire periodically, which can cause a Connected Profile to become disconnected. When this happens, scheduled posts will fail to publish until the profile is reconnected. Zoho Social alerts you when a profile’s connection expires or is revoked, so you can promptly reconnect and avoid gaps in your publishing schedule.

How many Connected Profiles can I add to a Brand in Zoho Social?

The number of Connected Profiles allowed per Brand depends on your Zoho Social plan. Standard plans support a set number of profiles (often 7-10), while higher-tier plans allow more. Agencies managing clients with large social footprints should select a plan that accommodates the total number of profiles needed across all their Brands. Check Zoho Social’s current plan comparison for exact profile limits.

Can I connect a personal social media profile to Zoho Social, or only business pages?

Zoho Social is designed for business use and primarily supports business accounts and pages (Facebook Pages, Instagram Business Accounts, LinkedIn Company Pages, etc.). Some personal profile types may be supported depending on the platform’s API policies at the time. For best functionality and analytics access, ensure your social accounts are set up as business or creator accounts rather than personal profiles before connecting them to Zoho Social.
