Confirmation in Zoho People is the formal process of transitioning an employee from probationary status to confirmed or permanent status, typically after a satisfactory probation period review. It updates the employee record and may trigger changes to benefits, leave entitlements, and notice periods.

What is Confirmation in Zoho People?

Employee Confirmation marks the end of the probation period and the transition to confirmed employment. It is a significant event in the employee lifecycle: the employee’s status changes, their entitlements may expand (more leave, full notice period, access to additional benefits), and the organisation commits to the employment relationship.

In Zoho People, Confirmation is typically managed through an approval workflow: the system notifies the reporting manager near the probation end date, the manager submits a review, and HR approves or extends probation based on the recommendation.

What changes on Confirmation

  • Employee Type may change from Probationary to Permanent.
  • Leave policy may update to include full annual leave entitlements.
  • Notice period typically increases from a short probation notice to the standard confirmed-employee notice period.
