Once an administrator enables the Products Topping in Bigin’s Settings, a Products tab appears in the navigation. Users create product records with fields such as name, unit price, and description. When editing a deal, sales reps can add one or more products with quantity and price, and Bigin calculates a total. The associated products appear on the deal record and can be referenced in email templates or reports to show what was sold alongside the deal value.
Enable the Products Topping if your sales team quotes from a defined set of goods or services, and you want that information captured in the CRM rather than tracked in a separate quote document or spreadsheet. It is particularly useful when the same products are sold repeatedly and you need reports showing which products generate the most revenue. If you sell fully custom or project-based work where no two deals are alike, the Products module adds overhead without providing meaningful structure.
Bigin’s Products module is intentionally simple: it does not include inventory tracking, stock levels, or warehouse management. It is a sales catalogue, not an inventory system. If you need inventory management, Zoho Inventory or an integrated system is the correct tool. Products in Bigin also do not generate formal quotation documents natively: for PDF quotes, you would need to integrate Bigin with Zoho Books or use a template via Zoho Writer.
Yes. Bigin supports CSV import for the Products module, so you can prepare your product catalogue in a spreadsheet and import it in bulk rather than entering each item manually. Ensure your CSV includes the required fields, typically the product name and unit price, before importing. Duplicate detection during import is based on product name matching.
Bigin’s native Products module does not support tiered pricing or automatic volume discount rules. Reps can manually adjust the unit price on each deal when adding a product, but the system will not apply a discount automatically based on quantity. For more sophisticated pricing logic, Zoho CRM’s price book feature or integration with Zoho Books is the appropriate solution.
