What is Progress Tracking in Zoho Learn?

Progress tracking in Zoho Learn refers to the real-time monitoring of each learner’s advancement through a course. The platform records which lessons have been opened, which have been marked complete, quiz scores, assignment submissions, and total time spent in the course.

Learner-Facing Progress

Learners see a progress bar on their course dashboard showing the percentage of lessons completed. This visual indicator motivates continued engagement and helps learners understand how much remains before completion.

Admin and Instructor Reporting

Admins and instructors have access to a detailed progress report for each learner. The report breaks down completion at the module and lesson level, showing exactly where a learner stopped and which assessments they have attempted. This granularity makes targeted follow-up conversations much easier.

Can progress be reset for a learner?

Yes. Admins can reset course progress for a learner, which sets all lessons back to Not Started and clears quiz attempts. This is useful when a course is significantly updated and all learners need to review it from the beginning.

Is progress tracked for incomplete lessons?

Zoho Learn tracks lesson opens, so even a lesson that has been started but not marked complete shows in the progress report. This helps identify where learners are dropping off within a lesson.
