A video lesson is a lesson type in Zoho Learn that presents content in video format. Authors can upload an MP4 file directly to Zoho Learn or embed a video from YouTube or Vimeo using a URL.
Admins can set a minimum watch percentage (for example, 80%) that learners must reach before the lesson counts as complete. This prevents learners from skipping to the end without watching the content.
Keep video lessons under ten minutes to maintain attention. Add a brief text summary after the video for learners who prefer reading or need a reference. Include captions for accessibility.
Downloads depend on portal settings. For uploaded videos, admins can disable downloads to protect content. Embedded YouTube or Vimeo videos follow the permissions of the source platform.
Zoho Learn accepts MP4 as the primary upload format. For best quality and compatibility, encode videos at 1080p or 720p with H.264 compression before uploading.
