The Canva integration in Zoho Social allows you to create or edit social media graphics in the Canva design tool from directly within the Zoho Social post composer. Instead of designing in Canva, downloading the image, and then uploading it to Zoho Social, the integration provides a seamless workflow where you design the image and it appears directly in your Zoho Social post ready for scheduling, saving time and reducing file management friction.
When composing a post in Zoho Social, you can select the Canva option to open a Canva design interface (embedded or in a new window). You choose a template sized correctly for your target social platform, create or edit the design, and when finished, the completed image is transferred directly to your Zoho Social post. This eliminates the export-upload cycle and ensures the image is always in the correct format and dimensions for the target platform.
Canva provides thousands of social media templates pre-sized for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and other platforms. Using these templates ensures your images are always the correct dimensions for each platform’s current specifications, preventing awkward cropping or blurry images caused by incorrect sizing. Canva’s brand kit feature lets you maintain consistent fonts, colours, and logos across all designs within your Canva workspace.
The basic Canva integration in Zoho Social works with a free Canva account. A paid Canva Pro or Team subscription unlocks additional features such as the brand kit, premium templates, background remover, and more design assets. For agencies or brands with a strong visual identity, Canva Pro alongside the Zoho Social integration provides a significantly more powerful design workflow than the free tier alone.
If you saved the design as a Canva template or in your Canva workspace, you can return to Canva to edit it and re-publish the updated version to Zoho Social. The integration does not keep a direct link between a scheduled Zoho Social post and the Canva design after the initial creation, so editing requires going back to Canva, making changes, and updating the post image in Zoho Social with the new version.
