Billing Reports

The built-in analytics and reporting tools in Zoho Billing that provide insights into subscription metrics, revenue trends, churn, payment status, and customer activity.

What Are Billing Reports?

Billing Reports in Zoho Billing are pre-built and customisable analytics views that give finance teams and business leaders visibility into subscription business performance. Reports cover revenue metrics (MRR, ARR, ARPU), subscription activity (new subscriptions, cancellations, upgrades, downgrades), payment health (collected vs. failed, pending), and customer behaviour (trial conversions, cohort retention, subscription age distribution).

Key Reports Available in Zoho Billing

Zoho Billing includes reports such as: the Revenue Dashboard (real-time MRR, ARR, and component breakdown); the Subscription Summary (active, trial, paused, and cancelled subscriptions); the Payment Report (payments collected, failed payments, and pending amounts); the Churn Report (cancellations by period with MRR churn); the Dunning Report (past-due subscriptions and retry status); the Trial Conversion Report; and the Plan Distribution Report (how subscribers are distributed across plans).

Exporting and Scheduling Billing Reports

Reports in Zoho Billing can be exported as CSV or PDF for offline analysis or sharing with stakeholders. Many reports can be filtered by date range, plan, customer segment, or product. For automated delivery, reports can be scheduled to send to specified email addresses at regular intervals, ensuring management receives up-to-date billing metrics without needing to log in and generate them manually each time.

Can Billing Reports be integrated with Zoho Analytics for deeper analysis?

Yes. Zoho Billing data can be synced to Zoho Analytics for advanced custom reporting, combining subscription data with data from Zoho CRM, Zoho Books, and other connected sources. Zoho Analytics supports building custom dashboards, cohort analyses, and cross-functional reports that go beyond the built-in Zoho Billing reports, making it the right tool for complex revenue analytics needs.

Are Billing Reports available to all users or only admins?

Report access in Zoho Billing is controlled by user roles. Organisation admins typically have access to all reports. Finance users can be granted access to revenue and payment reports without giving them full admin rights. Sales users might be given access to plan distribution reports but not to payment health data. Configuring role-based report access ensures each team sees the billing data relevant to their function.
