An add-on in Zoho Billing is an optional product or service feature that customers can purchase alongside their primary subscription plan. Add-ons allow businesses to offer a modular pricing structure where customers pay a base plan fee plus additional charges for features or services they choose to enable. Examples include additional user seats, premium support, extra storage, or an advanced feature module.

How Add-ons Work in Zoho Billing

Add-ons are configured in the Zoho Billing product catalogue and associated with one or more plans. When a customer subscribes, they can select applicable add-ons during checkout or add them later through the customer portal or via a direct sales process. Add-ons are billed at the same interval as the base plan, unless configured with a different frequency, and appear as separate line items on the customer’s invoice.

Add-ons and Revenue Expansion

Add-ons are a core tool for expanding revenue from existing customers without requiring them to upgrade to a higher-tier plan.
