What Is the Zoho FSM Mobile App?

The Zoho FSM Mobile App is the Android and iOS application used by field agents to manage their daily work from the field. It provides agents with their appointment schedule, navigation to job sites, access to Work Order details and asset history, tools for logging parts consumed, capturing customer signatures, taking job photos, and updating appointment status. It is the primary interface between the FSM system and the agent in the field.

Key Mobile App Features

The app shows the agent’s daily schedule in chronological order, with navigation integration to get directions to each site. During a job, the agent can view the asset’s full service history, raise Parts Requests, log time spent, add notes and photos, apply customer signature capture, and mark the appointment as completed. Notifications keep agents informed of new assignments, rescheduling changes, and parts request approvals in real time.

Offline Mode and Data Sync

The FSM mobile app supports offline operation for areas with poor connectivity, such as basements, industrial facilities, or remote sites. Agents can view their schedule, log work, and complete appointments without a network connection. All data recorded offline is synced to the FSM server automatically when the app regains connectivity, with timestamps preserved to maintain accurate job records.

Can field agents see all their upcoming appointments or only today’s schedule in the Zoho FSM mobile app?

The Zoho FSM mobile app shows the agent’s full scheduled calendar, not just the current day. Agents can view upcoming appointments for future days, allowing them to plan ahead for jobs requiring special preparation, parts pre-ordering, or customer pre-visit communication. The calendar view by day, week, or list format is configurable within the app.

How does the Zoho FSM mobile app handle GPS tracking consent?

GPS tracking in the FSM mobile app is enabled only during configured working hours and with the agent’s awareness. The app clearly indicates when location tracking is active. Tracking stops outside working hours or when the agent manually clocks out for the day. This balances operational visibility for the dispatcher with appropriate privacy for the agent during personal time.
