CRM Push in Zoho SalesIQ is the process of sending a visitor’s contact information (name, email, company, phone) and their chat transcript to Zoho CRM, creating or updating a lead or contact record. This ensures that sales-qualified conversations are captured in the CRM for follow-up without manual data entry.
Zoho SalesIQ can be configured to automatically push every chat that collects an email address to CRM, or to require operators to manually push only chats they judge to be sales-qualified. Automatic pushing maximises capture but may create noise in CRM; manual pushing requires operator discipline to not skip valuable leads.
When a CRM push occurs for an email address that already exists in CRM, Zoho SalesIQ updates the existing record rather than creating a duplicate. The chat transcript is added as a note or activity to the existing contact’s timeline, maintaining a complete interaction history.
CRM Push can create or update a Lead or Contact record with the visitor’s name, email, phone, company, and the chat conversation transcript. It can also log the chat as an activity on the CRM record and update custom fields based on data collected during the chat, such as product interest or department.
CRM Push can be configured to happen automatically when a chat ends and the visitor’s email is captured, or it can be triggered manually by the agent clicking the Push to CRM button in the conversation view. Automatic push is more consistent for high-volume teams; manual push gives agents control over which conversations are recorded in CRM.
