Journey Exit Condition

A rule in a Zoho Campaigns Journey that removes a subscriber from the automation when a specified condition is met, preventing irrelevant emails from being sent.

What Is a Journey Exit Condition in Zoho Campaigns?

A journey exit condition in Zoho Campaigns removes a subscriber from the automation workflow when they meet a specified condition, even if they have not completed all the journey steps. Exit conditions prevent the automation from sending content that is no longer relevant to the subscriber.

Common Exit Conditions

Typical exit conditions include: subscriber converts (e.g., makes a purchase or books a demo), subscriber unsubscribes, subscriber’s contact status changes to Customer (ending a prospect nurture journey), or subscriber enters another conflicting journey (preventing a subscriber from receiving two competing sequences simultaneously).

Why Exit Conditions Matter

Without exit conditions, a converted customer might continue receiving a prospect nurture sequence for weeks, creating a poor experience and potentially prompting unsubscription. Exit conditions ensure that the automation remains contextually appropriate for each subscriber throughout their relationship lifecycle.
