An SPF (Sender Policy Framework) record is a DNS TXT record that lists the mail servers authorised to send email on behalf of your domain. When a receiving mail server gets an email claiming to be from your domain, it checks the SPF record to verify the sending server is on the approved list. If not, the email may be marked as spam or rejected.
To send campaigns from your own domain via Zoho Campaigns, add Zoho’s mail servers to your domain’s SPF record. Zoho Campaigns’ documentation provides the exact SPF include string to add to your DNS. Your domain registrar or DNS provider is where you make this change.
SPF breaks on email forwarding because the forwarding server is not in your SPF record. This is why DKIM (which survives forwarding) is equally important. Configure both SPF and DKIM for maximum deliverability protection.
