What Is a Journey in Zoho Campaigns?

A Journey in Zoho Campaigns is a visual workflow builder for creating sophisticated, behaviour-driven email automation. Unlike linear drip sequences, journeys branch based on subscriber actions — clicking a link takes them down one path; not opening an email takes them down another. This allows highly personalised communication at scale.

Journey Components

Journeys consist of triggers (what starts the journey), delays (wait periods between steps), conditions (if/else branches based on behaviour or properties), actions (send email, update contact field, add to list, notify team member), and exits (conditions that remove someone from the journey).

Journey Use Cases

Post-purchase journeys thank customers and cross-sell. Lead scoring journeys move contacts between segments based on engagement. Re-engagement journeys attempt to reactivate dormant contacts with a sequence of escalating offers, removing them from the list if they remain inactive through the entire sequence.
