Sprint Backlog

The set of tasks selected from the product backlog to be completed during a sprint in Zoho Projects, representing the team's commitment for that iteration.

What Is a Sprint Backlog?

The sprint backlog in Zoho Projects is the collection of tasks the team has committed to completing during the current sprint. It is a subset of the project backlog, selected during sprint planning based on priority and the team’s capacity for the sprint duration.

Managing the Sprint Backlog

The sprint backlog is not typically changed mid-sprint. If new urgent work arises, it is added to the next sprint’s backlog rather than the current one. This protects the team from scope creep during the sprint and maintains the predictability of the sprint cadence.

Sprint Backlog vs Product Backlog

The product backlog contains all planned work for the project in priority order. The sprint backlog is the immediate, committed slice. Work in the sprint backlog should be granular enough to complete within the sprint; larger items should be broken down before being brought into a sprint.
