A project calendar in Zoho Projects defines when work happens: which days of the week are working days, what the daily working hours are, and which dates are public holidays. The project calendar is used by Zoho Projects to calculate task durations and due dates accurately, excluding non-working time.
Set the default calendar under Organisation Settings, then create project-specific calendars for engagements with different schedules. For example, a 6-day working week project in a manufacturing context needs a different calendar than a standard 5-day office project.
Individual team members can have their own calendars reflecting their specific availability, part-time schedules, or local holidays. Resource calendars are used in resource utilisation calculations to determine realistic workload capacity.
