The Inventory Summary Report in Zoho Inventory provides a snapshot of your stock position at a given date. For each item, it shows stock on hand, committed stock (reserved for sales orders), available stock, and optionally the stock value based on your costing method.
You can filter the summary by warehouse, item category, or specific date ranges. The report can be exported to Excel or PDF for sharing with management or your accountant. Scheduled email delivery of this report can keep stakeholders informed without requiring system access.
Run the inventory summary at month-end for management reporting and reconcile the total stock value against your Zoho Books inventory asset account. Any variance requires investigation before closing the accounting period.
