Stock Aging Report

A report in Zoho Inventory that shows how long items have been sitting in stock, categorised by age buckets, to identify slow-moving and obsolete inventory.

What Is a Stock Aging Report?

The Stock Aging Report in Zoho Inventory categorises your on-hand inventory by how long it has been in stock. Items are grouped into age buckets such as 0-30 days, 31-60 days, 61-90 days, and over 90 days. This highlights slow-moving stock that is consuming warehouse space and tying up working capital.

Acting on the Report

Items consistently appearing in the older buckets are candidates for markdown, bundling with faster-moving products, or vendor return if contractually possible. Writing off genuinely obsolete stock cleans your balance sheet and warehouse simultaneously.

Frequency of Review

Review the stock aging report monthly for A and B items and quarterly for C items. Regular review prevents small slow-moving issues from compounding into large obsolescence write-offs that impact profitability significantly.
