Stock on hand (SOH) in Zoho Inventory is the total physical quantity of an item present across all your warehouses at a given point in time. It is the raw count before subtracting quantities committed to open sales orders or adding quantities on open purchase orders.
Available stock = Stock on Hand minus Committed Stock. If you have 100 units on hand but 30 are committed to unfulfilled sales orders, your available stock is 70. Stock on hand tells you what is physically present; available stock tells you what you can sell.
The Stock Summary report in Zoho Inventory shows stock on hand by item and warehouse. This figure drives the inventory valuation report and is used for balance sheet calculations when integrated with Zoho Books.
