OKR (Objectives and Key Results) in Zoho People is a goal-setting framework where a qualitative Objective (what you want to achieve) is paired with measurable Key Results (how you know you've achieved it). OKRs are set at company, team, and individual levels and tracked throughout the period.
OKR stands for Objectives and Key Results. It is a goal-setting methodology originally popularised by Intel and Google, now widely used in technology companies and fast-growing businesses. An Objective is a qualitative, inspirational description of what you want to achieve. Key Results are 2 to 5 specific, measurable outcomes that define what success looks like for that objective.
Example: Objective = Become the most trusted Zoho implementation partner in Western India. Key Results = Achieve NPS score above 70, publish 12 case studies from client implementations, receive 3 partner-of-the-quarter awards from Zoho.
Traditional goals are often individual and operational. OKRs tend to be more ambitious and strategic, set at multiple levels (company, team, individual) with explicit alignment between levels. Zoho People’s OKR module supports cascading OKRs so each person’s Key Results contribute visibly to a team or company-level objective.
