Attendance Regularisation

Attendance Regularisation in Zoho People is the process by which an employee corrects an incorrect or missing attendance record — such as a missed clock-in — by submitting a request with an explanation, which is then approved by their manager or HR.

What is Attendance Regularisation in Zoho People?

Attendance records are not always captured correctly. An employee may forget to clock in, the biometric device may malfunction, or the employee may have been working from a location outside the geo-fence. Attendance Regularisation allows the employee to submit a correction request specifying the actual clock-in and clock-out times, with a reason for the discrepancy.

Regularisation workflow

  1. Employee notices a missing or incorrect attendance entry.
  2. Employee submits a regularisation request with the correct times and a reason.
  3. The request routes to the reporting manager (and optionally HR) for approval.
  4. On approval, the attendance record is updated to reflect the corrected times.

Regularisation limits

To prevent abuse, Zoho People lets HR configure limits on how many regularisation requests an employee can submit per month and how many days in the past can be regularised. This discourages habitual missed clock-ins while still providing a legitimate correction mechanism.
