Zoho Workflow Rules

Trigger-based automation in Zoho CRM and other apps that fire actions automatically when defined conditions are met on a record.

Workflow rules in Zoho are condition-action automations. You define a trigger (record created, field updated, scheduled time), set conditions (Lead Source = Website AND Lead Score > 70), and specify actions: send an email, update a field, create a task, call a Deluge function, or notify a user via Cliq. Workflow rules are the primary automation layer in Zoho CRM, Books, Desk, and most other Zoho apps.

The key distinction from Blueprint is intent. Workflows react to events; they do not block or gate a process. A workflow might automatically assign a lead to a rep when it arrives from a specific source, but it cannot prevent the rep from closing the lead without logging a call. For process enforcement, Blueprint is the right tool. For reactive automation, workflow rules are faster to configure and sufficient.

Scale matters when designing workflows. A CRM with 200+ workflow rules becomes difficult to debug. Aaxonix follows a rule-naming convention and documentation standard so that every client's automation layer is maintainable by their own admin team after handover.
