NetSuite's built-in reporting and analytics layer, covering saved searches, report builder, workbooks, and role-based dashboard portlets.
SuiteAnalytics is the collective term for NetSuite's native reporting capabilities. It includes the standard report library (financial statements, transaction reports, employee reports), the Saved Search framework, and SuiteAnalytics Workbooks, which is a more advanced pivot-table-style analysis tool introduced in later versions of NetSuite.
Workbooks allow users to define datasets (essentially advanced Saved Searches with join logic), and then explore the data through pivot tables, charts, and table views without writing code. Workbooks are significantly more powerful than standard reports for ad-hoc analysis and can be embedded in dashboards.
