Night shifts, early morning shifts, and weekend rotations typically attract a shift allowance to compensate employees for the personal inconvenience involved and to attract workers to less desirable time slots.<\/p>\n<h2>Configuring Shift Allowance in Zoho People<\/h2>\n<p>In Zoho People, the shift configuration includes an allowance field: you set the allowance amount (a fixed daily amount or a percentage of basic salary) for each shift type that qualifies.
