For organisations with multiple shifts \u2014 manufacturing plants, BPO centres, hospitals, retail stores \u2014 a Shift Schedule manages the rotation so the right number of employees are present on each shift every day.<\/p>\n<h2>Schedule types<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Fixed schedule:<\/strong> An employee always works the same shift. Simple to configure, appropriate for office-based roles.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rotating schedule:<\/strong> Employees cycle through different shifts on a defined pattern (e.g., Week 1 Morning, Week 2 Evening, Week 3 Night).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Flexi schedule:<\/strong> Employees choose their shift within a defined window, subject to minimum coverage requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Schedule-based attendance evaluation<\/h2>\n<p>When attendance is evaluated, Zoho People checks the clock-in time against the employee&#8217;s scheduled shift for that day.
